Formula Fun!

As some of you may know, our Year 6 pupils have been busy building a Go-Kart over the last few weeks.  On Tuesday they took the Kart to Scottow Enterprise Park (formerly RAF Coltishall) and competed with other Primary Schools from East Anglia in a Formula One-style racing event.

The event, organised by Greenpower Education Trust, to spark children’s interest in STEM subjects (science, tech, engineering and maths), included slaloms, drag and sprint races.

Everyone who took part had a great day, and we also won ‘the Spirit of Greenpower’ Award – well done to Team Thurton and the Thurton Thunder! We would also like to thank Mr Digby for his help in constructing the Go-Kart.
