We will be gradually phasing black out of the school uniform – this includes black jumpers, cardigans, sweatshirts, trousers and skirts.   Our black fleeces will still be acceptable but only as outdoor clothing.  Children will be asked to remove them during lessons.

Uniform Update Table JUNE 2019

Please ensure that your child wears appropriate and safe footwear, flat soled shoes are best for school. We would prefer that girls only wear sandals in summer. Flip flops or plastic shoes are not to be worn to school .

Please ensure that all belongings, including shoes and bags are clearly marked with your child’s name.

The children will go out in all weathers except very heavy rain, so coats are important (wet weather gear is recommended). We believe in the saying – there is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing!

Girls/Boys P.E.

Children come into school in their PE Kit on PE days.  Every class has PE on a Monday and Friday.

Children will need a plain pair of preferably black shorts and a polo shirt or T-shirt in the colour of their team. Trainers can be worn for outside P.E. lessons and it is recommended that jogging bottoms, preferably black are brought in for P.E. lessons in winter, as the children will continue to go outside.  Tracksuits may be worn for religious reasons.

For swimming lessons, Year 3 (and any older children who have not met the requirement of swimming 25m), will require the following: Swimming trunks (not shorts), one piece swimming costume, swimming hat and a towel. We appreciate that for religious reasons, girls can cover their arms and legs.

Competition

When children are asked to compete in cluster sporting events, they wear our school sports kit for team events or their own PE kit for larger competitions e.g. cross country.
