Japanese Day

The whole school took part in a Japanese morning this week. They learnt about aspects of Japanese culture, food and language, trying noodles, drawing manga-style, creating origami and painting Japanese calligraphy. Some quotes from the children suggest they had a good time:
‘I’m going to ask mum for noodles tonight!’
‘I don’t usually like painting but I really enjoyed this!’
Some of the staff made a real effort, wearing kimonos for the event – this included Mr Barber!
